LOVE INITIATIVE

Over the yearspic 3, there has been a great increase in the number of death rates and suicides as a result of hunger and poverty especially in Africa. In our world today, people are in dire need of hope, love and true care. According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, almost all the hungry people, 852 million, live in developing countries, representing 15 percent of the population of developing countries. There are 16 million people undernourished in developed countries (FAO 2012).

Hunger is one piece of a complex of interrelated social ills. It is linked intricately to global economic, political, and social power structures; modes of development and consumption; population dynamics; and social biases based on race, ethnicity, gender, and age. Hunger and poverty is akin to an illness. It absorbs our energy and mental prowess day by day.

Those who have evaded it successfully have pic4an explicit responsibility to utilize that extra mental bandwidth they have to rescue poorer Africans.

The lack of purchasing power and access to resources has been a major hindrance to most developing countries. Some others include violence, racism, gender discrimination, vulnerability of children and elderly people. Once the issues have been identified, it is important to strategically and structurally create solutions to these challenges.

Love Initiative formerly called Love Project was started in 2012 and established in 2014. The initiative was born out of a desire to inspire hope, empower and work with communities to create solutions to poverty and hunger.  The World Health Organization records that on the average, over 21,000 children dies each day from poverty related issues. The core of the project is to implement sustainable programs that will create opportunities for people living in poverty and despair.  Between 2012 and 2013, welfare materials have been distributed to over 2,500 individuals in Nigeria. The beneficiaries of this project are mostly youths, women, children and disabled people.

The Core projects are:
